MeteorNOX/DeepSeek-Balance-Whale-Widget
A small whale widget that sits permanently in the lower-right corner: balance, amount used today, and per-turn conversation cost (including peak and off-peak pricing). The bubble content for balance warnings and today's budget is editable; the bubble click sequence is modularly customizable, with side-by-side weighted A/B, random lines, and random images. It includes templates for 30+ providers (OpenAI / OpenRouter / Kimi / SiliconFlow / Ark / Zhipu / MiniMax, etc.), with balance and subscription quota lookups by model; it also offers task-end sound effects, audio import, custom characters, and resource management. All data stays on the local machine, with no telemetry.

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-whale-widgetWhat it does
A small whale in the lower-right corner of the DSH interface, showing your API balance, how much you have spent today, and how much each conversation turn costs in its bubble. It belongs to the "peace of mind" category of small widgets, but has more features than one might expect.
Features
- Shows balance, amount used today, and per-turn cost, and distinguishes peak and off-peak pricing
- Bubble content is fully customizable: click order, module layout, random lines, random images, and side-by-side weighted A/B displays
- Built-in templates for more than 30 providers (OpenAI, OpenRouter, Kimi, SiliconFlow, Ark, Zhipu, MiniMax, etc.), with balance and subscription quota lookups by model
- Supports balance warnings and today's budget
- Has task-end sound effects and supports importing custom audio
Good fit for
- Frequently uses APIs and wants to know how much is being spent at any time
- Uses multiple model services and wants to see balances in one place
- Likes desktop widgets and is willing to spend some time adjusting the appearance
Advice
- Install the published version from npm: `dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-whale-widget`; do not install from the repository, because that gives you an unreleased intermediate state
- If you use the official desktop client (Electron), you **cannot** use `--profile web`; instead, ask DSH to install it itself in a desktop session
- If you only need to see the balance, turn off random lines and random images; the interface will be much cleaner
Cautions
- Security red line: it can read credentials and access the network. Checking the balance really does require reading the Key, but the same permission can also send the Key out
- 190,000 downloads is a high number, but download count does not equal a security audit
- The existing Codex version has moved to another repository, so following old tutorials may install the wrong thing
Security red lines
- reads credentials/secrets AND has network access
