flymysql/dsh-remote
Multi-machine remote workspaces: manage multiple SSH hosts, choose a local system folder or a remote directory in the native "add workspace" flow, and mirror a remote workspace as a real local folder operated with the rw_* tools. The selector is a centered modal that defaults to the local tab; remote paths are prefilled with `/` and complete directory by directory.

Install
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-remoteWhat it does
Manages multiple SSH machines inside DSH. You select a "remote workspace" and the agent can list files, read code, and run commands on the remote host as if it were a local folder.
Features
- Maintains multiple SSH hosts and lets you choose a remote directory in "select workspace"
- Mirrors a remote directory as a local workspace object operated with the rw_* tools, without leaving the harness
- The DSH web interface listens only on 127.0.0.1 by default; this plugin works the other way, connecting outward at your initiative, so no ports need to be opened on the remote side
- The reverse also holds: the DSH web interface of a remote machine can be opened as a local page
- When a connection fails there is one-click diagnostics and deployment, which repairs the remote environment and verifies it
- Remote path completion starts at / and proceeds level by level
Good fit for
- You frequently switch between several servers
- You want the agent to operate a remote workspace directly instead of ssh-ing in and moving files by hand
- Remote environment setup is troublesome and needs one-click diagnostics and repair
Advice
- Validate the connection and permissions on a non-production machine first
- Grant the agent the minimum remote permissions necessary; do not use root
- One-click deployment modifies the remote environment; read carefully what it intends to install before running it
Cautions
- Security red line: reads credentials + network access
- Being able to operate remote hosts means mistakes have a large blast radius; use automated execution cautiously in production
- Confirm the sync policy between the remote mirror and local yourself, so you do not edit locally without syncing
