What it does

A DSH plugin that, once installed, lets you select several frontier models in DSH and chat with them without an account or an API key. In essence, it connects you to a few public free-model gateways.

Features

  • Zero configuration: no login, no registration, no key entry; after installation the models are available in the dropdown.
  • The model list is re-fetched from upstream on every refresh and is not stored as a local static snapshot, so new upstream models also appear.
  • The README documents the sources: the free lane connects to OpenCode's Zen gateway, and the Kilo channel connects to Kilo AI's public gateway; both are direct connections with no third-party relay.
  • It removes models that upstream lists but the gateway explicitly rejects (returning Model is unavailable or 404). Gateway failures, rate limiting, and timeouts do not count as the model being unavailable, so those models are kept.
  • It additionally provides an OpenAI-compatible local forwarding port that other tools can point to.

Good fit for

  • You want to try several different models quickly but do not want to apply for an API key for each one.
  • Experiments, demos, and temporary model comparisons.
  • Your network environment can connect directly to these public gateways.

Advice

  • After installing, check the model list on the settings page to confirm that the model you want is listed and not marked unavailable.
  • Use it only for non-sensitive content: a free gateway means your input passes through a third-party service.
  • For long-term stability or commercial use, use the official API.

Cautions

  • Security red line: it has both the ability to read credentials and the ability to access the network, and it declares plaintext http to www.gstatic.com.
  • The sustainability of "free and unlimited" is not under your control; upstream may shut down or rate-limit at any time.
  • Content you send to the model passes through a third-party gateway; do not use it for company materials or personal privacy data.

Security red lines

  • reads credentials/secrets AND has network access
  • uses plaintext http:// to www.gstatic.com
